Terms of Service
Effective Date: June 23, 2026
Welcome to Jim’s Mower Repair! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our repair services and website at https://jimsmowerrepair.com/. By using our services, visiting our facility, or accessing our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Services
Jim’s Mower Repair provides professional repair, maintenance, and servicing for lawn equipment including but not limited to push mowers, riding mowers, zero-turn mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, chainsaws, and tillers. We service all major brands and provide diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services.
2. Estimates and Approval
We provide free diagnostic evaluations and repair estimates. All estimates are approximations based on our initial assessment. The final cost may vary if additional issues are discovered during repair. We will contact you for approval before proceeding with any work that exceeds the original estimate by more than 10%.
By authorizing a repair, you agree to pay the estimated amount plus any approved additional costs. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date provided.
3. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full when you pick up your repaired equipment. We accept:
- Cash
- Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
- Debit cards
- Bank transfers (with prior arrangement)
A deposit may be required for repairs exceeding $500 or when ordering expensive parts. If you fail to pick up your equipment and pay within 30 days of repair completion, we reserve the right to charge storage fees or dispose of the equipment in accordance with local laws.
4. Repair Warranty
All repair work is backed by our 90-day workmanship warranty from the date of service. If the same problem covered by the original repair occurs within 90 days, we will repair it at no additional charge for labor (parts may be charged if the failure is due to normal wear or misuse).
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or improper maintenance after repair
- Normal wear and tear of parts
- Problems unrelated to the original repair
- Equipment that has been modified or serviced by others after our repair
- Damage caused by environmental factors (rust, corrosion, weather damage)
Parts are covered by manufacturer warranties when applicable. We will assist with manufacturer warranty claims but are not responsible for manufacturer warranty decisions.
5. Equipment Drop-Off and Storage
When you drop off equipment for repair:
- Remove all accessories and personal items unless needed for diagnosis
- Drain or remove fuel if requested
- Provide accurate contact information
- Describe the problem in detail
We provide free storage for up to 14 days after repair completion. After 14 days, a storage fee of $5 per day applies. Equipment not picked up within 90 days may be disposed of in accordance with local laws, and you will be responsible for all repair and storage fees.
While we take every precaution to protect your equipment, we are not responsible for loss or damage due to fire, theft, natural disasters, or other events beyond our control.
6. Liability Limitations
Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair service provided. We are not liable for:
- Consequential damages (lost profits, property damage, etc.)
- Pre-existing damage not disclosed at time of drop-off
- Equipment that cannot be repaired due to age, parts availability, or extent of damage
- Data or settings stored on electronic equipment
- Delays caused by parts availability or manufacturer issues
In all cases, our maximum liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific repair service in question.
7. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information about equipment problems and history
- Disclose any previous repairs or modifications
- Pay for services rendered in a timely manner
- Pick up equipment within 14 days of repair completion
- Follow all maintenance and safety recommendations
- Inspect equipment upon pick-up and report any concerns immediately
8. Cancellations and Refunds
You may cancel a repair before work begins for a full refund of any deposit paid. Once work has begun, you are responsible for payment of all labor and parts costs incurred up to the point of cancellation.
If we determine your equipment cannot be repaired or repair is not cost-effective, we will notify you and refund any deposit in full. Diagnostic fees (if applicable) are non-refundable.
9. Parts and Materials
We use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts whenever possible. When OEM parts are unavailable or cost-prohibitive, we use high-quality aftermarket parts. If you prefer specific parts, please notify us in advance.
Parts removed during repair become property of Jim’s Mower Repair unless you specifically request their return at time of service authorization.
10. Safety and Compliance
We comply with all applicable safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines. However, we cannot guarantee that equipment will perform exactly as new or meet your specific expectations. We repair equipment to industry standards and manufacturers’ specifications.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The “Effective Date” at the top indicates when the Terms were last updated. Continued use of our services after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
